i think it would be annoying. Like typing in ALL CAPS.

And once one person started using bold everyone else would too so it would kind of defeat the whole point. No one thread here is really any more important than any other. If a thread really is that important the moderators will turn into a sticky.

Threads that contain unread posts to you show up in bold so you can tell which ones you need to read

There isn't a way to format the title for everyone.
