I have a number of pages with the same layout and the same section titles: Purpose, Input, Display, Special Features.
I created bookmark targets on each of the section titles in every document.
Then, I wanted to create a navigation bar. The same navigation bar would appear on all pages of the web site with links to the various bookmarks.
If the navigation links are set up to a generic "Purpose" bookmark without any URL or file name, will the navigation links simply link to that bookmark in whatever document is open? Or does that even work, except in theory?
When I had someone try to do that for me (he admittedly wasn't sure what I was asking him to do), he got an error message saying that the function was disabled in this "mode." I don't know if the mode it was referring to was navigation mode, or what.
I got about a D- in Navigation bars. I hate them and I'm not good with them. They hate me back. I need to go to other people for help, and then they don't follow my train of thought.
I really only want to create links to those target bookmarks only once - which is why I'm considering a navigation bar - and have the navigation bar link shoot me straight to the section in whatever page I have open. Is this possible?
