Hmmmm..... the good old days. No such thing as AdSense back then. People made websites to give out information for free rather than make loads of money......

My first site was Cellular Underground

The domain has been parked for years. I dont own it anymore either.

Was a very opular site, gots thousands of hits a day.

Then one day I was sent a letter telling me to remove the info on the site or get sued.

It was a mobile phone secrets website. Hacks and stuff.

I used to work in the telecommunications industry and I picked everything up from doing that, and I put it online. There was another bigger site like mine which you had to pay for and coz I was offering it for free they didnt like it.

I was young, had no idea or money so I got out just in case it was legit. Looking back, I wish I never did!!

Unfortunately my first web page was done on my dad's old Mac and got lost many years ago.
I still rmember it though, it had dodgey yellow headings and black writing on a horrible metal background image, with lots of
and
tags everywhere, and all the dodgey web clip-art that's so quintessential of first sites (animated construction workers, etc)

I remember my first site, but have no idea to what happened to it. It was 1999, and hosted free on Xoom (remember them?) and it was a page with free stuff. It had affiliate links to places like AllAdvantage, FreeI.net, Kozmo (HA!), and a bunch of other places that are long gone. Made a few bucks, but nothing to sing about. It was fun though.

My first web page was hosted with a free provider. I forget what they were called... ExpressPage or something like that I think. Anyway, it was a page that listed cheat codes. It had a sky background image, and used Comic Sans for everything

My very first web page was probably a brilliant display of the text 'hello world' I think it was far and away the best example ever of that piece of text.

I guess my first real web page/site was for a class. It was about 10 pages and nothing special. I still have the files and am embarrased to look at it. It was for a class where we were learning about frames so it's a framed site. Fortunatley being for a class everyone else's sites were just as bad as mine.

The first website I made was hosted on freewebs.com. For some reason they took it off.

Wow, it has been a long time since I thought about that. It has been like 7 years. I still have it and it still pulls its weight, well sort of. I guess I just keep it because it was the first.
