I was just wondering if people realize how powerful message boards are. You can change many opinions and start large rumors. It’s freedom of speech at its best!

You can also gain a lot of useful knowledge.

What do you think?

The thing I love about message boards is the fact that you can have a conversation with someone, who may be living next door or they may be living thousands of miles away. They may be old or young, they might be someone who you would never have considered speaking to if you met them in the street.

The internet is the great equaliser, message boards especially so. They give everyone an equal voice and the chance to have their say. Too many people never speak out their feelings offline, either because they don't think they're qualified to comment on a subject or arn't given the chance to speak by other people aroiund them, or are just too shy. Message boards overcome that.

So yes, I totally agree with you. Message boards (and to an extent the internet in general) are amazing, and are increasing communication far more than many areas of the media give it credit for.

Well maybe not to much freedom of speech. Be careful what you say or you may have suit against you.

Speaking of sued can you believe the RIAA? You would have thought there would have been a better approach to it.
