This looks absolutely great so far. Microsoft have taken the idea of AJAX a step further, packaging it up and integrating it with ASP.NET. This means that developers don't need to be Javascript gurus to code cross browser compatible AJAX powered user interfaces!
The basics of it start at the ability to call an ASP.NET web service with a couple of lines of javascript, however they have made .NET server controls that implement AJAX, such as an autocomplete text box, and 'panels' which let you re-render any part of the page without a full postback.
