I wondered do free sites not get indexed like a paid site would? Not saying free hosting but free domains that come with them. Like a geocities from yahoo free domain and site?
I read that if you can start many sites and get just enough traffic to them you can make some good money because there spread out. You know maybe a dollar per day from each site which is easily done if you do it right.

I just wondered because domains are 10 bucks a year and doing 10 sites would mean 100 bucks you would have to hope you can get back...If you make 1 buck a day per site you would get your 100 bucks back in 10 days though...

Yes those free sites get indexed, but if you use something like Geocities you will need some really great content for your site to be taken seriously. Another thing to consider is if you want your own ads on the site these will be in addition to the free hosts ads so your site may end up looking a crowded.
Limited space... limited bandwidth... having to design around the host's ads.

I don't recommed the ad supported hosts, especially if you want to make money with your site. If you want to build a bunch of sites at once look for a good sale on a reseller account.

It is in the terms of most free hosts that you aren't allowed to advertise on them.

Do you think a lot of mini sites would work? Better than like 3 sites that you put a lot of info on? See I had a site. I put a lot of info on it spent hours on it and well got 12 dollars in adsense in 2 years time(its still up I quit working a year ago almost). Id hate to do that all over again and get nothing.

In my opinion it's best to concentrate on a couple sites and invest a lot of time into them. If your first site didn't do as well as you hoped then learn from it and refine your marketting strategy for the next one. I just don't see a legion of geocities sites paying your bills.
