Researchers at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada, are exploring the possibility of a biometric security device that will use a person's thoughts to authenticate her or his identity.

wow.. this is like in the movies.. I dunno if this is really possible.. but why not?
what are your thoughts.. isnt there studies that indicate some illness because of radioactive waves...?

A lot of the flaws in password security are in the way the password is transmitted from the user to the server, The way the password is authenticated and the way the password is stored on the server. So while this would make it slightly harder for an attacker to login with the correct credentials, it will do very little for overal authentication security...

To me it looks like someone has sat down and said "what idea would be far out" and came up with brain wave or thought recognition.

Whats the point, If they can crack passwords these days then surely such an invention would lead to a mind reading invention (which i would like to beta test ) which could then be used for local aswell as remote intrusions.

And not just computer ones either. hmm definately put my name down for beta testing
