Heya

i used to have an alternative version of MSN Messenger, which showed people opening talking screens, without saying something (Mercury/dMSN was it called)

but now i run Windows 64 bits, it doesn't work very well, so i was wondering if anyone knows another alternative messenger besides Mercury which shows this

**for anyone wondering why the **** someone would want to see someone else opening a talking screen in MSN ..it's because of a personal problem i'm having.. **

greets
Joeri, Amsterdam

Trillian or Messenger 8.0 BETA do the trick for me, though they don't give you access to see who has opened convo with you

Have you tried Skype? You can type, or speak, and also have a webcam going if you like that. And it is free too. It is advertised more as a free internet phone, but I think it is better than yahoo and msn. And no viruses come through on it! That is worth a try right there!

The web address is www.skype.com if you want to check it out.
