Does anyone know if there are places for me to go and check out host provider before using it to host website (from general static pages to ecommerce)?

i already check with BBB and no result was found.

"Ask".

No matter what you get from a host review board, there is no substitute for asking about a host and any experiences people have had with them.

Having said that, you can find various hosting provider reviews quite easily by Googling the company name and the word review, all in quotes.

e.g.

"Sectorlink Review"
"Interland Review"

thanks for the info. i found a lot of information at webhostingjungle.com when i click on your "interland review" link. however, when i type in "Hostasaurus Review" or "WolfPaw" at google; there weren't any result. i went online to "webhostingjungle.com" to search for the host provider above; still no result.

i am looking for a Miva Merchant hosting provider, anyone knows a good and reliable one?

Well, whoever Hostasaurus is, they seem to have been around a while. Funny that they don't seem to have any reviews, though. I'm not slamming or pointing fingers or anything. I just find it odd.

Any host that has a toll-free number, though, is off to a good start.

Call it though, during peak hours. Have some questions ready though, just in case they do answer. A good acid test for a host is response time, and this is a quick and easy way to figure that out.
