Don't your stats show which exact page they were referred from? If not, search your logs for microsoft.com and you might be able to see the full referer...

I've noticed that my site does that too in the stats but not a site like Microsoft. It shows me the full URL but when I go to that page I do not see any link that links to my page. It's weird.

it's likely to be someone using some kind of security thing that blocks thier referrer and sets it as microsoft.com.
The referrer is sent by the browser and can be set to be anything.
It's easily done with soemthing like the live HTTP headers plugin for FF.
Sometimes when you enter a URL directly, the referrer thinks it is from that website instead of directly typing it in. Doesn't make much sense to me, but that's what I've noticed before.
