www.instantssl.com

They're the only certs I use. They're cheap, they're easy to install, and they work. (It also means you don't have to deal with Very Sly.)

I use the same certificate as Adam and have been happy with it for the same reasons.

A shared or free SSL cert is not owned by you, so your URL will not be shown in the browser. These are good for testing and light security. I wouldn't use it for an online store.

I agree with Anacrusis. I wouldn't use a free or shared certificate for an online store. Even low-cost certificates that only display your domain name in the certificate rather than your company aren't very good for online stores because customers don't trust them as much. You can still get a good High Assurance certificate for cheap though. <link removed>

^ I'm such a sucker for web 2.0 websites Thanks for that SSLshopper link (even if it was self promo spam.) Definitely will link it for future reference, as I am shopping around for an SSL cert.

I've used the SSL certificates RapidSSL I think from NameCheap. They're good and cheap.

Though...I find them really hard to install.

^ I'm a bit of a dunce when it comes to setting up SSL certs; So I'm going to have to concur with that, especially since I tried that exact one from Namecheap. I ended up just asking for a refund. I'll wait until one of my friends wants to set it up for me, before I try again.
