I have recently created a World Community Grid team named 'Blogger' and would like to invite everyone to join. For those unfamaliar with the World Community Grid ( http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org), it is a way for many individual PCs to collaborate on massive scientific projects .
The inviduals participants need to do nothing but sign up and install a small program that will analyze data in the background while their computer is on. This is safe and major organizations like IBM and NYU participate. These projects are important because they present opportunities to develop new cures to major diseases or may potentially benefit humanity in other ways, depending on the project.
