I hope this is in the right section

I don't know if you guys can help, but I'm looking for a system/software/script to manage my clients and their domains.

I'm a web designer and have a reseller account with a couple of hosting companies. I have around 40 clients with a total of 90 domains, 80% with web sites. Thinking of moving over to a dedicated server...

At the moment I just use an access database and excel spreadsheet, but it's far from perfect and I'm looking to get really organised before I drown or, even worse, forget to charge someone...

Some of you must have a similar set up?

How do you manage your clients/domains?

Thanks

If it's a billing system you want have a look at www.clientexec.com or www.modernbill.com

I'm using clientexec at the moment myself and have been happy with it. Another option you can try is WHM Autopilot, which will require you use cPanel/WHM on your server. I've helped manage a company that uses it and it works pretty well too.

A year or so ago I checked out what I think was every billing manager for hosting in existence. It felt like it anyway. Modernbill seemed to expensive for me and I didn't care for it's interface at all. It also seemed the most difficult to set up, but many who used it said once you spent a little time with it, it was much easier to use and configure.

I liked the interface of clientexec the most, both on the admin and customer ends and my only hesitation with it at the time was it was lacking a couple of features like reseller and affiliate features, though I didn't need either at the time. I believe recent updates have added the functionality of both.

The more I looked at them the more they all started seeming the same. Most billing managers have an online demo and it's probably the best way to get an idea of the features you need and want and how easy you find them to use.
