If this thread is better in another forum, please let me know, but it seems like a general topic.

I've been poring over my lists of blocked senders and domains. I know they're all spammers. I've been considering hiding these addresses in the source code of all my web pages (something like a string of commented-out maito: links) for spambots to pick up.

Anyone tried anything like that?

sounds like a good idea but i dont think the majority of spammers use mail with a return address to send their spam.

Sounds like fun, but I doubt they even read their mail. Assuming those aren't even spoofed, of course.

The premise, of course, is that the addresses I have in this list of blocked senders are valid. It goes without saying that these senders are automated, but if a spambot were to pick up this address, would it not bombard it with spam, and weigh it down with data, anyway?

If there was a code to instert I would do it. I have had enough of spam. For the past 8 years I have recieved more spam then everything I have ever recieved in my life. If that makes any sense. They should be killed.

I suppose it couldn't hurt much, and it might even be a bit cathartic.
