I work for my university as a web assistant. I have to do a project kind of like youtube, but for our university. I dont have to make the site, I just have to make a video and find resources for other students. Does anyone know where I can find some free and royalty free music to use as background music in our videos? I did a search, but cant find anything.

Thanks! I found that earlier, but I didnt look far enough into it. There is a section that has completely free music for education and not-for-profit groups.

I wondered if you had already came across it with it being the first link Google gives in it's results for "royalty free music".

If you still cannot find music in the (above) links, you might wish to try:

http://www.archive.org/index.php

There is a whack of music there, a great deal of it in high-fidelity / high-quality .FLAC and .WAV file formats...

Also, I host links to a great deal of free & legal music on my site ( www.cdnav.com ), but I suspect one would still want to email / 'speak' with the owners of the music.
