Hi everyone, I got a question to all webmasters here.

I own pretty big website for our small country with 2 mio popularity. Usualy we recived over 3.000 unique visitors per day and we have over 4.500 registered users (it's not advertision! - so no link). Members can publish photo in gallery, rate other photos and comment them, we have forum with over 80.000 post etc.

But in last few months activity has drasticly change. Members aren't so active any more - yes they still visiting our site but they are more and less quiete. We are still publishing news, writing articles and cameras test.

We've had some arguees with other members in last monts, becouse they didn't obey rules, but nothing big. I just can't figure it out how to improve members activites on my site.

Do you have any tip how did you improve that?

Please could you be more specific what do you mean by referral program?

He means providing an incentive to your members for getting other people to join. I don't think it would help you out much because your problem isn't that they aren't there, it's that they aren't doing anything. Give them a reason to participate. I can't say for sure what would work because I have no idea what your site is about, but if you provided a link I'm sure somebody could come up with some ideas.

Actualy I need some tip how do you face that problem - if you ever had it?

1. I am just planning to make whole new graphic, but that tip doesn't work on long terms
2. We have just started photo of the week, but looks like we need to do some more work
3. Yeah I know, lot of people even don't know where my country is lol

It's interesing that my compatition (other website) doesn't to that much, but people are much more active there (but we have about 20% higher visits - which seems that this doesn't effect on activitie)

try to be a member of your competitive and observe. Contest and affiliate programs work well. try to extend your service (ex. other language), and in case of violating members, try to limit their capabilities to avoid them hitting violation
