Dean Hunt got a very interesting email from a webmaster unhappy that deans blog was ranking higher than his site and insisted that dean "remove his blog from google" so that this webmaster could get better rankings. I just had to blog it it's so unbelievable!
In deans reply he asked the question all of us would ask; "Are you serious?"
Anyway, This webmaster has contacted google and asked them to remove deans blog from the index for this search term on the grounds that he "makes a living from his site and Dean only runs a blog". In a follow up email dean was told "i have contacted my lawyer".
Is this guy comedy gold or what? I would love to get more emails from clowns like this guy.
What would be even funnier would be if he published the search phrase and a few others optimised some pages and took the idiot off the first SERP totally.

A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds
Thought for today:- Is SEO the only industry where all the cowboys are Indians?
I read it............ i read it again........ and i still come to the same conclusion...
Who does this guy think he is?
If everyone on the net was like that no one would use it!
even microsoft arn't that bad.....
They would just buy the blog site or pay him off...
Dan
Hahaha, I thought the guy was having a laugh (who asked for removal) but it seems he's actually serious, maybe i should try it and boost my site to number one......mmm I don't think that works though.....
It amazes me how stupid some people can be. The fact that he thinks that his site deserves to be ranked high for a term just because it is a business and not "just" a blog both infuriates and amuses me. He obviously doesn't know the first thing about search engines (because we all know Google makes more money if his site ranks higher), the law (dude, skip the lawyer and pay for an SEO consultant) or etiquette (my site is more important than yours so you should take yours down). One can only imagine where his sense of entitlement comes from.
