I had no idea, that mainstream was so big, interesting, are the majority of the mainstream webmasters doing this parttime or is this full time?
What would be the area that might be considered to be the most profitable?
Having come from the other side of the tracks so to speak, and making real good money in it, ive decided look into expanding into the mainstream, if there is money to be made in it, simular to what i currently do.
What im asking is what type of programs can turn the biggest buck, i can make the websites, promote the websites and run tons of traffic to them, thats a non issue, just finding where i can turn the dollar, or what product turns the best.
Toys?, Booze?, Books What?

Hi Ozzie

Casino (and Adult) sites obviously make the most money, but are also VERY competitive (I don't promote those types of sites).

Other very profitable areas for sites (all also very competitive) are Insurance and Loan Sites, Credit Card and Financial sites, Matchmaking / Dating sites, and Web Hosting sites to name a few...

I will have to agree with Tim and say that the Adult industry is probably the most competative and profitable.

Also, online stores are not too bad, but you need to have a unique idea (just like any kind of a site), but that market is very saturated, in order to make a decent profit, you will need to offer unique services.

We've actually just launched a new program with a very unique product. I myself come from years of experience on the "other side" and have taken what I consider the successful elements of that industry and have applied them to WP and hopsports.com. Hit me up on ICQ ozzie, I think you and I have lots we can talk about!
