just a quick question...
its off topic.. well i guess this is an offtopic subfourm anyway..
i was banned from a website.. from the webmaster i suppose...
i dont know how, but im guessing it has something to do with my ip address.. im running cable internet, with the addition of a router... i was banned due to the use to bad language.. a stupid reason.. anyway there is a trivial game i like to play on the site and i cant get on.... when you get to the site... u click on the door which takes you to a sign in page.. username and password.. whats the deal.. anyway i can get back on.. is there a way to get past this problem... i know i cant use my ID and password from other computers so i knw it has to do with mine.. thanks...

Depends on the forum software that's being used, but most of them allow blocking by IP address and by username.

If you got banned, for whatever reason, I would not suggest trying to go around the system. That's just cause for more banning. I would suggest contacting the sites' admin and ask to be let in (provided you behave yourself this time around

)

Hi Dave,

Some forum software allows for banning by lots of identification methods like Prissed mentioned and could include email addresses, too.

And Prissed's suggestion is a good suggestion.

There are rules about profanity on all forums, though the extent is different from forum to forum. I'm sure you've read our rules and realize that profanity is not permitted here.
