I am getting a lot of questions from new webmaster / site owners of membership type sites (community, chat, forum, dating...). They find that the initial building phase is painful and slow and are searching for methods to get past the low membership.
One area of concern is that potential new users see that membership is low and just go on by without registering. It is kind of a cycle that can be difficult to break out of at first.
I have a few ideas that may help them but would love your input on the subject.
