I hope this question is not too stupid, but I have to ask it anyway, if I make a website that i'm hoping to make money with, and I decide to put a little copyright statement at the footer of every page, what do I need to do to make it legal, or do I just add it without letting anyone know, do I need to go through some form of Internet authority before I may legally add this to the pages.
