Hi

I was browsing around the web today, when i done a search in google for my domain name which is unique i came across a site using my domain name in adsense so i guess steeling my traffic.

Above is their ad they do not have anything on their site that has jellybabys on it and nothing in their content, so what can i do ?

I know what i will do if i can not get it removed that could cost them a pretty penny as i do have a few friends but i really do not want to go down that road, but i also do not see why they should get traffic because of my hard work.

What would you do ?

It happens all the time. You get a decent ranking on a page and someone will figure out a way to steal your rank.

If you find a solution other than breaking some legs, please post it.

I know!

Break there arms then they cant type... with broken legs still leave it open for them to steal it! we must be vigualnt!

or just solve it completly, either dont bother with a site... or shoot 'em...

Have you attempted to just send them an email about what they've done? Perhaps you could send them an official letter that looks like its from a lawyer, and which threatens legal action if they don't stop what they're doing.

If that doesn' work, then go after them. But no sense in being antagonistic right off the bat. It generally makes other people turn the same way.

Can you contact google adsense? Surely they can do something about it??? That is so frustrating! I hope you find a solution.

First of all, if your domain is/was not locked by your domain account holder upon your initial registration, there's little you can do about it.

Secondly, you can report the offending URL to the Internet authority so stating that the domain info is incorrect; they will in turn contact the domain holder in your behalf, demanding they provide proof of ownership of the domain -- if they can't provide that within 10 days, the domain is immediately removed.

Gather 20 or 30 friends and agree to access their site on a certain day at a certain time. Their server will crash after getting 30 hit at the same time. With those same 30 friends, each should send a huge email to this site's webmaster at ther same time which will block thir account and crash their email server.

I went round to their house before it was burnt down to ask them to remove it with the 20-30 friends : )

The domain is still my one, they are just using my unique trade name (This is also the name of my Ltd company as well as the domain name) in their title and description and placing it in their google AdSense program, so when people search for my company name they are also coming up on the Right hand side.

Sneaky i know but ive given up worrying about it, im sure if someone is search for what i have ( and i know they don't ) they will just click the ad so it will cost them and im sure they will search again.

Anyway thank you for all the advice, what a great place this is...

pesonally i would have gone with broken arms.. jokin' last time that happend it took ages for the letters to stop...

Anyway, dont give up, i know it sounds stupid but it may not be that important but they (from what i read) are bretching your copyright as well.

They could see no one moaning and do it to someone else or take it further. And claim they were using your name before you or something like that and unless you can provide hard proof with out any dooubt you were using it first you could possible be the one in trouble...

I'm old school, so I'm all for broken bones and whatnot.

But seriously, I read somewhere that when doing a Google search, people tend to click on the search results more than the Google ads on the right, so there's a limit to the damage these guys can do to you.

If you really want to pursue any legal action against these creeps, dansgalaxy made an excellent point, get some hard evidence of foul play before you do anything. That way, there's no way these guys can go after you for harassment or false accusations.

Good Luck to You, David! I am having problems in another aspect of the internet with my domain names, so I know how you feel. Hopefully you can go back to Adsense and perhaps they might do something about this issue. All the members suggestions are excellent, and I also am for broken bones!
