How would old time ebayers compare selling today vs a few years ago?

What do you consider to be the biggest difference between the old timers and today's sellers?

Why wouldn't they do as good?

too much people, lots of overpriced stuff.

I would say the main reason people are not buying as much is exactly the reason Montero stated -- the prices have simply risen too high. Why is that?

EBay is undergone a metamorphosis from something people used to get rid of their old stuff to a pure business that too many people now view as a get rich quick scheme. Thus, too many products selling for too much and a growing disillusionment among prospective buyers.

IMO.
