Over the years two different sets of neighbors at two different times have asked us if we had seen the Moose in our yard, which we seem to have always missed this great event. My husband was taking the dog out side this morning, the dog runs down the porch steps, and stops without making a peep. Now this dog will bark at everything or anything that flutters, the dog was motionless for a period of time, turned around and ran back up the porch stairs and wanted back inside, too scary for a little guy! 
My husband brings the dog back in and quickly grabs the camera, thank goodness Moose aren't like Deer, they don't frighten off. My husband did a whistle, Moose turned around and posed for this shot. Some of our pine trees have a moss hanging down off the branches, kind of reminds me of Spanish Moss, which is what Moose was eating.
The temperature was 17° F but sure was very beautiful looking out side........
