Another thread made me wonder - what was everyone's very first job?
Mine was working for my uncle in a fresh/cooked seafood store when I was 14. A great experience...but very smelly!!

First job was a paper route I had it for about 4 years I think.
First "real" job was working for my Dad. He's the manager of the shipping department at his company, Dahl Brothers (theres a good chance you're using one of their products! ). My job was loading the skids with all the merchandise. Very physical work for a computer geek!

Hmm, my first job was a paper route. I had two routes, morning papers, about 150 customers. I worked it about 4 years and used it to buy my first touring bicycle and my first dirt bike (motorcycle).

Paper boy as well, for four years (wonder why everyone seems to have one for four years). Bought my bicycle with it, but not a dirt bike (only 20 customers).
My first "real" job...I'd have to go with what amounted to my only full-time, above-the-board job before I went into business for myself, and I was a Lockbox Associate for a company. If you don't know what that is...well, neither do I. Basically, all I know is that I was a large corporation's trained monkey, or so they thought, for three years. I got out, though.

My dad owned a hardware store, the only one in town. I worked in the store from the time I was about 7 until he sold the biz when I was 17. After that, I worked in a Zayre's Dept. store during my last 2 years in high school - hardware/housewares/automotive depts . Before the hardware store, my dad had a garage, he was a super mechanic

Actually when I think about my first paying jobs I started around 10 years old babysitting for the neighborhood children, after turning 16 I was hired to be a part time cashier at a grocery store but still did the babysitting jobs as well.

When I was 16, I got a job as a waitress...that only lasted about 2 weeks...it was horrible. I'm not cut out for waitressing! lol!
Later I got a job at a cloting store, that lasted a lot longer.

I worked for a medical answering service. It was awful. I answered one stupid call after another from people who wanted to talk with their doctor over stupid matters; chief among them was a cold.
Why would you call the doctor when you have a cold? Just take some NyQuil and shutup!

My first job is working as an executive assistant, while only for half a year, anyway, I have learned a lot from it.

My first job was my only job, civil servant. Started at 16 and took early retirement last year, some 35 years later!

I wasn't able to get a job until I was 17. (I had to help my single mother with my 2 younger sisters.) My first job was working in the Ladies Dept. of Sears (my mom was the Paint Dept. Mgr. there).
