just curious.....

I just thought of having my own company with this name in my town.

Well, when I was in high school, I took French. We had to pick "French" names to be called in the class. I picked "Angele". When I was in high school, I first got interested in the Internet, so when I signed up for email, games and stuff, I coulnt think of anything but my french name. Angele was always taken so I added 803 at the end (my birthday Aug. 3). And it just stuck.

Right after The Matrix came out, I couldn't get over how cool it was to have an internet identity. Neo. Morpheus. Trinity. Never anything else. So I spent about 3 days in front of the New Account page on Yahoo trying to come up with a short one-syllable word that I could adopt as my cool, Matrix-like internet identity. But what good is such an identity if you can't at least land the Yahoo email address for it?

After hundreds of trial and errors, Kyrnt came back as valid. It doesn't mean a **** thing, but it does share quite a few letters from my first and last name. I used the identity for a few years, then I let the yahoo email address go and now WT is the last place on the net where I am still known as Kyrnt.

I'm just a battery for the machine.

I picked my name because I new it would drive some very insecure people nuts. Kind of like my way of sticking it to society without saying a word.

When I first came online, I went through dozens of names before settling on Chroder. I probably wouldn't have stopped, but it came to a point where this nick had a "reputation" behind it, one that I didn't want to throw away whenever I went to a new site

I got Chroder from merging "Chris" and "Coder" together (and it's pronounced 'Krowder' btw

).

I had been thinking the ch like in charter.

My username is very simple - my initials & date of birth. For a long time I used my first initial and last name (it's still my ebay seller name) but after I had a daughter surfing the internet with the same first initial I changed it a bit. My families intials don't vary much - mine legally - CML, preferrably KML, hubby's - CML, daughters - KML and son's - MCM.

somewhat amusing/geeky side note: if you square the roman numeral CML the answer is MCM. Luckily my son was born 6 months before I met my hubby so no one can say we did it on purpose.

I always thought of it as "shroder" too. I was thinking that you and tim must be related.

For some strange reason that I can't explain I always put the word "Gerhard" in front of your name.

I always find difficulty in pronouncing "chroder". So i always read his name as "coder".

I used to be fantastic at card tricks (by fantastic I mean, I had memorized maybe 4 or 5 and could do them well).

Thus, houdini - the best magician of all time.

Of course Houdini was an escape artist which some may argue is not a magician, nor was he a card trick afficianado but WHATEVER.

Since those younger days my brain has atrophied my card trick knowledge to just one - but it's the best one and no one can ever figure it out.
