browser-addons
To disable unwanted browser items;
Click on tools
Click on programs tab
Click on manage addons
Click on any program name in the list to enable/disable
Click on apply or ok as needed to save the changes.
You may need to close and open IE or even reboot.
Also I ran across a super program at another forum.
The name is auto run and you can get it here:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sys.../Autoruns.mspx
Microsoft now owns this and it can be downloaded from their site. It will allow you to turn off or even delete items in the start folder. So this lets you get rid of the addons after you turn them off.
This is far easier to use that msconfig and checking items in the startup group. It does not install to the system so unzip it where you can find it and click on the icon to start it.
For ease of use I placed it it at c:/autorun/
I actually found several pieces of crapware that were still in the registry even though I had removed the files.
If you are new at this I suggest you disable stuff for a few days BEFORE you delete.
