Do you own a car? Tell me what type and why you bought it! I want to see why digital people have cars! Don't you know anything can be shipped?
Muscle Cars
Reg Cars
Street Rods
Whatever, cant wait to hear what you all have!
I am still looking for a car, I am considering getting a dodge truck, or a 95 eldarado cadillac.

I have a 98 Sable. Why, because it was the right price at the right time. It's about to be replaced by a yet-to-be-determined vehicle. I kind of want a Subaru Outback because they are all wheel drive and the reviews say they are very reliable. I don't know if I can really get one until I test drive one though because my son is 6' and may have issues with the interior head and leg room. If I can't get a Subaru, I will probably end up with a minivan because I'm usually toting everyone everywhere

I'm sure you already know but just in case you don't...I have a good friend who is a mechanic and he once told me that people who own Subaru's are usually very shocked when they blow out a tire or something of that nature because you can't just replace one, it will throw off the alignment (or something to that extent, he said a bunch of technical words which really threw me off). So, what would cost a two wheel drive person maybe $200-$500 will almost always cost a Subaru owner nearly $1000.
I own a 1993 Chrysler Town & Country Minivan and it's a luxury model (at least for 1993). Best vehicle I have ever owned though. It looks ghetto as all hell being it was one of the original (or close to) designs for a minivan. It does the trick and gets me to walmart to buy diapers (in case you needed a reason why a techy would have a car).

No, seo -- I'm past that point... I used to have a '98 Silverado and for that I had the grill guard, tube steps and all the extras (no paint job, though). Now that I have a family, vehicles have taken on a very utilitarian role in my life. I know that kills those of you in your early 20's -- it's just a shift in priorities.
But yea, it's still a sweet TRUCK (it's a rule in the South that you must completely capitalize the word when it's warranted).
BTW, as an old boy from Dixie, please don't call something a TRUCK unless it really is. SUVs are not TRUCKs. S-10s and Rangers are not TRUCKs. And frankly, I don't see how anything with a Japanese nameplate can be a TRUCK.
Ford TRUCK.
Chevy TRUCK.
GMC TRUCK.
Dodge TRUCK.
I believe these are the only Deep South-approved uses of the word.

A 1995 Hyundai Accent.
It's cheap on gas (the major reason I bought it), gets me from A to B, causes me very few problems (I had to replace the tranny last summer...every other repair has been less than $100 for the part, and not very often at that), and it's green so my friends called it Kermit.
Then again, I never liked cars much. I drive 'em, and that's all I want to know about 'em. Street rods, racing machines, giant trucks, etc. do nothing for me.

I swear I already wrote a response to this however it never showed up.
You make me want to cry Kyrnt. I think this is one point we will have to disagree on. Yes, I know, you can call me a yankee doodle dandy however, I happen to think Toyota builds a superior truck to any American automotive manufacturer.

Yes, I knew that....I'm married to a mechanic and have already been told all the mechanical reasons why I can not own a Subaru. That doesn't stop me from wanting it and the fact that my son probably wouldn't be able to ride in it comfortably will more than likely weigh heavier on my final decision. See, no matter what I buy, it was in our wedding vows that he has to fix it

I may have been raised in NY, but I was also raised with car people. My uncle and grandfather were mechanics, then I went and married a mechanic. I know a lot more about what goes on under the hood that at least 80% of other women. That being said...I agree. a TRUCK can not be Japanese made. For that matter, there are quite a few Fords, Chevy's, GMC's & Dodges that can not be labeled TRUCK. My hubby is (this week as a matter of fact) laying to rest a 94 Chevy Blazer. While it had considerable power and 4 wheel drive, it was not a TRUCK.

.....
Kandi, you are a woman after my own heart.... Now I will say that Chevy makes the best full-sized SUVs. I know the Blazer isn't full-sized, but the older ones like your husband's 94 seemed bigger to me than the ones they are making now. I think Chevy is consciously making them a bit smaller to keep from eating their own lunch with the Tahoe and Suburban (which, by the way, are excellent vehicles -- not TRUCKs, but find American V8s!).
Hey Republikin, don't sweat it, man. I know those Japanese nameplates are making decent trucks these days.... just not TRUCKs. I'm sure you can appreciate the difference!
