Hello everyone,

I am in real need of some help. I am writing a small article on GMail for my site, however I don't use GMail so I would really appriciate everyones thoughts on it and the general experience.

Your thoughts would be appriciated

Adam,

Why not get a GMail account and experience the service for yourself? I'm strictly curious why you would otherwise write a subjective piece on GMail without any subjective opinions. GMail is no longer by invitation only (not that it has been an impediment for some time now).

Yeah.. you should sign up for it so you can try it... who knows you might just keep using it...

But anyways, I love my Gmail account! I can access it via web-browser and e-mail client (thunderbird) it is great at organization - it groups messages and replies to them creating "conversations" its search feature is awesome, and whenever someone sends me a Word Document as an attachment it allows me to open it as a HTML document, on Google Docs, or as an attachment itself... Personally I really like the service... its even better than some email services that come along with your ISP...

My thought is that your article sounds dishonest and spammy.

Thanks everyone,

First of all my article will not be spammy or dishonest in any way!! I have signed up for a GMail account today but when writing an article it is very good to get others opinions on the subject as my views are not always shared by everyone as I am sure you know.

Anyway thanks for everyones opinions up to now

Simply Amazing. They give you so much space, and it's so easy to navigate emails and such. I've had it for almost a year now it nothing bad has happened.

I can second that only. I have many accounts and googlemail does it job very well. I think its spam filtering technology is very advanced.

That's what I like about it too. I use outlook to connect to my gmail account. The "spam" folder is never sent to me via pop3. So, by the time my emails get to me, I never have any spam! It's really great!

I just downloaded the taskbar icon for gmail and it works great. It notifies you when you get new mail and all that. I recommend DL'ing it!

EDIT; If anyone wants a gmail account just ask and i'll send you an invite for free.

Gmail i no longer by invite only I belive.
