0Hi Guys,
Ive never seen a post like this so i would like to start it off,
My site has been up and running for about 18 Mt's, like most site it took awhile to kick off but know its starting to earn us money, but what i would like to know is what would be a good yearly return?
As i said the first 12 Mt's was building the site but for this coming year on a forecast base should be turnover £90-£100K and profit around £15k plus, i get around 900-1000 unique visitors a day and we are expanding our range slowly, we sell anything from two to ten products a day and i would say most times its on the average of four, we have no PPC campaigns running and 95% of them comes from Google, we do have a yearly subscription to the msn and yahoo directory and pay monthly to scan alert for security reasons other than that we pay for the host and domain and ssl.
So would you say i'm doing OK for my first proper year of trading or am i below par?
Just to clear a small point up, my site has loads of free advice pages, audio stories and other tools, so people looking for products from the 900-1000 hits we get is only about 50-60% of them.
Sorry if this sounds nosey but i'm just interesting if this is a good start or am i just wasting my time : ) i know differant markets as different mark up prices and and turnovers and some of you pay staff but in the end of the day its all down to profits £ $....
Look forward to a few replies.
Regards
Dave
