Hey all. I'm fairly new to the game so forgive me if my webmaster jargon isn't up to code. I got into building sites sort of as a hobby. My background is really in marketing so building websites was sort of a natural add-on. Anyway, to make a long story short, I landed a nice contract with a state organization that gives me access to a LARGE number of realtors.

I'm putting together a site that's exclusive to the organization for it's members to advertise their listings on. My dilema is that I need to find a web based program for the realtors to edit their own listings and publish them to the site. I found one, and I promise this isn't spam...Realty Manager (http://interactivetools.com/products/realtymanager/). The only thing that scares me is that it only recommends 2,000 listings.

Does anyone know of another program like this?

I'm not really familiar with real estate listing software, but there seems to be many programs listed when I searched at Google.

Maybe what you want is a wiki? That will allow the realtors to edit their own listings, but everybody else, too. You might be able to set up some kind of security for that, though.

Have a look at www.wikipedia.com and www.aboutus.org and www.seattlewiki.org - these will give you an idea whether that type of web management system would work for you.
