This is sort of a half poll, half inquiry. Just wanted to know for those who attend or attended college, what did you major in or what was your general field of study?
Also a question for those who can answer. Theoretically speaking, say you were to want to build a myspace, facebook, ebay, digg etc. What would be the wisest area to focus on if you were to go to school for it, ie: computer science, programming, web development...also what languages would be vital to know?
and could most of it be learned on your own?
