I use symantec Norton Antivirus 2006.

I am quite okay with that but it is using more memory on my machine.

What you guys use and recommand?

I used to use AVG, Was pretty good.

I'd throw a vote behind AVG as well, unless you're running XP64 (it's not free for XP64 users...it is otherwise for personal use, as far as I know.)

If you're like me and in that boat, Avast! is a decent little AV scanner as well. My big issue is that the icon for it is ugly (little blue-grey ball). But if it's free and it's not a Symantec product, I'm okay with that.

In the last decade as I've moved from company to company as a software consultant, by far the most prominently used anti virus program is Norton.

I remember seeing McAfee only once (at a very small company).

I use Norton at home as well.
