Has anyone else seen "The Secret"? My wife just baught the DVD a couple of days ago and we finally watched it yesterday. It's pretty powerful, about the "laws of attraction". We're going to test this theory out and see what happens. Good-bye negativity!

If you're married, haven't you already proven the laws of attraction?

I haven't seen it, but someone told me it's similar to the Power of Positive Thinking by Norman Vincent Peale. Is it like that?

It is similar I suppose (I've never seen "Power of Positive Thinking"). The Secret is about "the laws of attraction" when it comes to "what you want and don't want". Apparently you attract both, but by changing the "don't wants" to the "wants", you'll then attract only the "wants" when it comes to anything (money, relationships, etc.). Many famous people through history have used this "Secret" as well.

The guys and girls from "The Secret" were on Oprah. No, I don't watch Oprah, my wife was watching it

Anyway, we have considered purchasing it.

How is the first couple of days going for you? Is is basically about always staying positive and "believe and you will have" type stuff?

The same thing can be learned by reading Oriental Philosophy. It's called the Power of Chi.

Chi can be both positive and negative. Basically, positive chi is obtained by putting out positive energy into the world. This is done by being selfless and doing things that will benefit mankind as a whole, and thinking of others before ones self.

Negative chi is obtained when you commit acts of hatred whether by word or deed, that affects the lives of others as well as yourself.

Once enough positive chi is obtained it will increase your karma and bring you closer to enlightenment.

I am a firm believer in what goes around, comes around.

I thought about reading the book a while back. I didnt end up reading it because I remember hearing somethng that made it sound like the book was some kind of brain washing religious thing. (Dont get me wrong, Im a Christian...but I dont want to be brainwashed). I guess that was a completely wrong statement that I heard. I might go rent/buy the dvd. I think I am the most negative person in the world....or at least in my family, and could sure use some positive encouragement.

Things are going much better...it's just hard to stay so positive all of the time.

Actually this actually works, it even worked for me when i wanted to have more than 5 domains back when i only had 1

What you have to do is do not imagine your self having the items but like think of it for a while and only think positive of it.

I always thought i was only one had this ability but then i saw it on CNN.

Actually i think in order for this to work is believe in reincarnation that is just my belief.

So far my wife and I have had a bunch of "smaller" positive results with it. I let everyone know when the big results come, which can take a month or so if done correctly...according to the secret.
