No, this isn't a spam post. I'm just wondering if anyone has seen anything like this in the real world.
Seriously, let's say you wanted to hire someone to help improve your online marketing presence. Wouldn't you want to hire someone who was in the trenches learning, failing, succeeding every single day? And wouldn't you want to ensure that person continued to be on the bloodiest cutting edge possible?
If you lock them into working solely for you they'll either 1) lose interest and produce mediocre results, or 2) lose their cutting edge and become out of touch with the Internet audience. Either way your sales aren't going to improve.
I think the ideal job would be one where I could work for half the day for the company and half the day keeping up my websites. I'd flip back and forth all day long, and each effort would compliment and improve the other.
I think I'd make that company a lot of money (and myself along the way).
What do you think?
