How do I start a compoany? I'm thinking to start a business. Are there any fees I have to pay or and contracts/agreements or anything like that to start a company? (I live in Canada) Or anything I have to do?

You will have to do some research in your own province. There are more than a few Canadians lurking about (Adam, Chris, etc) that can offer better advice specific to Canadian law than I can. On the US side of the border it cost me $20 to register a sole proprietorship. Other types of businesses have different fees. Taxes will be different for you too, but I have to pay state and federal taxes on any income I make minus expenses. Since I work full-time, run my business part-time and donate a lot of my work I generally don't get taxed on my business income because it ends up being equal to my expenses.

Adam, Adam, where's Adam to answer this question better than I can????

There is an about.com article on just that subject. Although I'm not familiar with Canadian law and tax codes the most crucial, informative and important thing you can do right off the bat is create a business plan, and be thorough about it so you know exactly what the risks will be going into it. This is the one step that most small business ventures skip and the one that leads to the most success stories. People often skip it because creating a thorough business plan is a daunting task however, if you can liken it to writing a 15,000 word essay with original research (like you might have to do as a graduate student) then this task would not seem so bad.
