Warning stockscripts.com
They sold me the myspace clone with out support for $30 CAD. It's not my first time installing a script. Over a dozen problems with the script, I emailed them and asked to why their script is not working 100%, since I paid for a working script!!!!!
They emailed me with this note:
From:StockScripts
You purchased the script with no support. That was your choice
Two weeks later, they upgrade their site and state that they provide free support with your purchase. The price went from $25 to $69.95 USD
On top of this, they deleted my account on their upgrade and now will not give me access to my account, prior to my complaint about the script.
I emailed them and told them, I'm very dissapointed with their business. They emailed me with this:
From:StockScriptsOk we look forward to hearing from your $200 an hour lawyer about your $25 purchase.
I'v been online for 10 years, purchasing scripts. These are the few scammers, I dislike doing business with ever again. They make their money, and like he says.We look forward to hearing from your $200 an hour lawyer about your $25 purchase.

I purchased the image hosting script from them when it was $5. I would say that only 20% of the script was working.
They have even started encrypting the source now so you can't fix anything yourself. They make shabby scripts, full of bugs and errors.
If you paid with PayPal, request a refund.
If you paid with credit card, request a chargeback.

Well here is the email conversation that was omited you have to start from the bottom and work your way up. What happens is people purchase the script at the reduced price then demand support. It is not fair to give support to people for free when others pay for it. We do encrypt some of the files now so we can license it and offer a 7day 100% money back guarantee. :

You have not emailed 20 times. Emailing with threats will get you nowhere. Contact ICANN and VISA if you feel the need. You purchased the script with no support. That was your choice.

Not getting support for a program is one thing, but selling a program that doesnt work is another. I think most people expect a product that is bug free and designed to work.

lol doohhhhh stockscripts
You haven't even tried to defend that the script is fully working.
@ domainbroker always get a fixed address and tel number
Here is theres:
Colorado Springs CO 80918
719-219-9608
Here in the UK we have laws that protect us that if we buy a product or service that isn't as we where told we can file complaints against them and they always give in before it even reaches the courts.
I'm sure that there will be something similar in the US, file a complaint and watch them give you a refund as fast as you paid for the item.
You are completely in the write wanting your money back for a product that was sold to you under false information.
Keep us updated and don't give in because the law backs you (UK Law anyway sure the US will have a similar one)

I understand this but I wanted to give it exactly as it happened.
As for the scripts not working, We offer a money back guarantee on all the scripts now. If you get any of our scripts and are unhappy you can get a full refund. This is good for any reason, we do not ask why you want a refund we just ask you for the name on the card and the purchase date.
We have sold over 3000 scripts. Will there be some unhappy people? Yes. Will we mess up sometimes and overlook something that should have been taken care of? Yes. Can we be caught on a bad day and respond in a harsh manner? Yes.
We do the best we can to make make sure each client is as satisfied as possible.
Colorado Springs CO 80918

This information can be obtained by all of our clients on their receipt.

No. The reason being that we were not able to offer refunds prior to April due to there being no licensing system in place so the purchased script could not be revoked. The information that there was no refunds for any reason (for the reason stated above) was clearly marked on the website and this was pointed out to anyone inquiring about our refund policy.
If DomainBroker would like to send an email with the issue he is having I would be willing to assist him as long as the issue is bug related. If the issue is install or server related premium support is available and premium install services are also available. As I stated before it is not fair to give free support when others have had to pay for it.

hello,
before I talk to my case with stockscripts, I have a question does somebody install correctly thier script?
really it s a scam. I purshase the scripts , I loose one week to find out the error file not find. then I find file .flv get insered into data base with a name and uploaded to the video directory with an other name with a later insered into the name. my deduction they do it by perpuse to let people ask for help and pay a $30 fee for instalation. they say they make a new version right now I can t install it I contact them (him) but no answer.
it s true we sale the script without support. but we sale a working script. if we have all the requirement and the script does nt work than they should make a look for their work.
what I see now they close eithr their forum , nobody can post n the forum.

I wouldn't buy from them after reading thread.
A few bugs sprinkled around is acceptable, just look at Microsoft. But dead on arrival isn't. People buy cars that don't run every day, but the person who sells the car tells them beforehand what condition its in, and bet they can fix it cheap enough to sell for a profit. If the thing doesn't work, it's clearly expected to, and it's the responsibility of the seller to make this clear.
It's one thing to buy program code at a discount because there's no service, but another thing to sell broken half-code and not tell people it's useless.

The web is stronger than legal options in many cases. I purchased a product for my son from a 100% on-line entity who shall remain nameless. They were supposed to ship the product to Texas and instead shipped it to the billing address, which automatically forwarded the product to Costa Rica. It was a 60 lb item and ended up costing the earth with shipping. I had all the docs to prove they made the mistake and their reply was: "too bad, that's not covered under our terms and conditions".
I kindly replied that I specialized in web marketing and would be notifying each news group and forum related to their industry about the unfair resolution. They shipped a free replacement to my son within 3 days. 100% of their business is on line and a damaged reputation amongst web savvy buyers can kill a 100% on line business.

What the ..... that's very expensive .... They do really have a bad business and the worst scenario there is they have deleted your account and have a bad reply on their part. By the way how long have you been doing business with them before these scammed things happened?

I know no one has posted to this in a long time, but you know, they can sit there and try to defend themselves with their new policies etc all they want. I bought scripts from them, and had a **** of a time getting them to respond to anything. I have never had one of their scripts work fully, or be secure in any way shape or form. When they refused to respond to me, I went into the forum and asked why they dont respond to the help request and they deleted my post. I went back and posted again asking why they deleted it, they deleted it again and BANNED me. I was NOT a jerk. I simply wanted an answer they were not ready to give, or perhaps not qualified. I ended up calling them and I did talk to the guy, they stopped using the myspace clone I bought (which was utter crap) and tried to get me to go with something else, but it was even worse. I declined, I dont believe I got a refund at all, and I went and bought a $300 script which has served me WELL for over a year now and the support is great.
Oh, stock scripts site has apparently been "sold".. however if you look up stockscripts image hosting support (I believe) you will find part of the forum still running and the same thing. No support for people who bought that script. I know because I bought it way back then, never used it and figured I would give it a try. Lo and behold.. crap again... not installable out of the box without a massive headache and I still dont have it installed.
Moral of the story, if its too good to be true it is. Dont buy CRAP from stock scripts. literally.
