I've started using delicious to keep a bunch of URLs organized. It does wonders for that. I don't care how many other accounts have something bookmarked, or what's popular, anything like that. Just a list of regional hiking trail reviews I've found, please.
But then I can't see how they're making any profit from people who use their online database and ignore the rest of their site. On the other hand, they seem to be a lower-value target. People have set up StumbleExchange sites, buy and sell Diggs, and basically laugh at the ideas behind these sites.
Honestly, I don't see any real value to Digg. I can already send people private messages ( it's called email ), and don't run spammer of the week awards.
