Sorry ... the second one really isn't great as a photo. But the most interesting thing about the place is how unremarkable it is, how well it blends into the surroundings. Anyway, the Cliff Palace was left to the tourists 900 years ago, give or take. It isn't every day you get to photograph something prehistoric, but then this wasn't today. I haven't been down through Colorado in years.

I can't believe people lived like that. It's pretty amazing. I bet they didn't even have wifi.

Thanks ... I'm glad people like them. I just hope I can make it to the Canyon de Chelly, and in better weather.

Let's see.. possible captions for your on line album

"Two knuckles deep and still pushing"

"My brain itches and I'm scratching it"

"TAKE THE PHOTO HONEY!!!"

"The tricks you can do with half an index finger"

"OK...who put the superglue on my finger while I was sleeping?"

Wow, that is pretty amazing. I find it even more amazing that something like that was made in the United States, considering we're one of the newer countries.

I think it's pretty interesting how diverse mankind used to live throughout history. This is definitely one of the things I'd love to check out one day...though I doubt I'll ever be able to.
