What do you think of myspace or facebook?

i haven't really looked at facebook, But myspace opitimizes everything bad about the internet.

It's a poorly coded coperate run heap that exists simply because women want to be looked at and men want to look at them. It's a highschool popularity contests that adults can take part in.

st0x summed up my feelings on Myspace...it's poorly coded and slow as hell from here. Personally, I think it's a waste of time.

As far as Facebook goes, it's one of those concepts that's great if you need to reunite with a bunch of people you never wanted to see in the first place to talk about things that no one ever wanted to talk about either. Other than that, it's a waste of time as well. I had an account there for about a week, and then shut it down.

Everyone kept telling me I need to set up a myspace page to display some of my photos ... what a complete waste of 20 minutes that was! I'm still getting spam from the experience, too.

yeah I had the samething happen to me with myspace, I joined one day never went back and I finally just shut down my email account b/c of all the junk mail.

i personally have had no experience with either myspace or facebook appart from the one travel blog i used to read on myspace, but that's an oddball examle of someone with talent.
from a webmaster and business oriented point of view, myspace was a great idea: there are more idiots on this planet than there are smart people. so the obvious pool to target your adverts at is the larger one

I'm really disappointed to learn a lot of musicians I like have Myspace pages. Devin the Dude. All kinds of people like that. I think of the site as a place for 14 year olds, and the predators who seek them out. That's probably not very accurate anymore, but it's the impression I have of Myspace, and I think less seriously of anything I see there.

I've never once visited myspace before. first it was for kids, and now from what i understand politicians are running campain ads there. I dont even know what facebook is but I'm guessing it's the same thing.

Adds for politicians should bring some sizeable revenue, so in the end it's all about money, and how to get it discretely. I for one am a webmaster because it's something I enjoy doing, the people I get on my website are most times no different from myspace people, but I do get people that I'd go out for a couple of beers with and that's whom I work for, the idiots are just there to buy me a living
