I just finished it last night and loved it!

I think that the whole Harry Potter epic has been one of the greatest stories ever told.

I was never able to predict what was going to happen next.

Just wondering if there were any Harry Potter fans here and what you think of the new, and final book.

Got it on Saturday and finished it that night. Great ending, I thought I started reading when I was about 9 -- been waiting 10 years for this final book and I wasn't disappointed. Certainly is a bit sad to think that there'll never be another one.

I agree I was so upset to find there will no longer be another one ok I always knew there would be 7 but well it really hits home that there will no longer be any more books.

I agree best story ever told it is the best book ever in my opinion J.K has done so well for herself and just to think she started in a small Café writing it.

Amazing books really amazing

I decided to read the 4000 word in search of lost time by Marcel Proust and avoid the potter series altogether. Maybe it would be something that I would have got into in elementary school, but I can't really understand them now. I tried to read the first one, gave up after the first chapter and picked up Life of Pi. I know when it comes to Harry potter, like religion, I sometimes find myself alone and making enemies but

terrible books, really terrible :P

I love to read and fantasy type books are my favs, but I hate to wait on series. So believe it or not I purposely waited 10 years before I bought the entire series; and as of two days ago have begun to read. I am very anxious. But to go as far to say it is the best story ever told is a stretch (even though I have yet to read) I see no possible way that it will be better than “Lord of the Rings” I have read that book three times and love it more each time.

Are you suggesting these books are for a certain age range??

I would advise you to think otherwise.

I am definately not stating that it is for a particular age-range, I know there are adults that read it. but personally, I may have enjoyed it when I was younger (though at that time I was reading the lord of the rings series and Michael Crichton books).

I don't know, I have always been drawn to classic literature and I make exceptions for good stories, but I feel like i'm eleven again reading Harry Potter.

Maybe I didn't give it much of a chance, but I say, I'll have time to give more books a chance when I get through the Western Cannon..ha (if ever)

Ahhh you miss so much from the films. I have a friend who is absolutely crazy about Harry Potter and we went to see the latest one -- it left giant, gaping holes in the story line. I was quite disappointed, actually.
