Am I the only one? In my email box, I get about 10 or maybe 15 of these every day. I don't open any of them, because if someone is foolish enough to worship me, I'm better off not hearing what they have to say.

But I've been targeted with a pretty massive spam campaign, and I wonder if I'm the only one?

Also, if you get a message like this, don't waste your time opening it. There are other variations, could be from a fan, a friend, family member, whatever. And the sender seems pretty much random. I'll get 10 of them in a row from 7 different senders.

At the moment, I am overwhelmed with "confirmation" emails about random things. Confirm your order for a JVC camcorder, a Nintendo Wii, a £150 HMV voucher, a plasma TV, a Marks and Spencer offer, a Playstation 3 offer, an IKEA offer, Lancome Makeup offer, Odeon Movie offer, Peugeot participation confirmation, a Canon Digital camera confirmation......... The list is endless.

I repeatedly put this in my junk mail folder but the spam just won't stop! I'm tempted to block all emails from confirmation departments, but I know I might miss out on something I ACTUALLY ORDERED!

Heh heh... I've "received" "greeting cards" from "neighbors" "relatives" and such but not "worshippers." Heh. I feel that the excessive quotes are necessary in this case. Someone good thought this one up, because I opened the first one I received. Vanity spam. Brilliant.

Nope, I've put an junk/phishing filter on my server, and it's catching around 200 spams a day.
True, every accounts are caught, and there is a catch-all, bot nowaday, I've seen a huge increase in the last 2 months

You're not the only one, John.

Worshipper, Friend, Relative, Admirer, and once even Lover.

a greeting card from a friend/schoolmate/worshipper/collegue. i've had 'em all. it's these new chains of pdf spams. i use linux so i can't get viruses, so i opened one to look at what it was. basically, it's the same as these old image/fuzzy text emails we been getting, that spam filters got clever with. but now they put that image in a pdf. won't be long before we'll be filtering them out too.

It's been a pain in the rear where I work. One day I was get 10 calls in one day about them....then I sent a mass email to all our employees and changed the server configuration to get rid of them. Since we aren't supposed to get e-cards at work, it was easy enough to do. At home I recently changed everyone's email address and haven't been targeted.....yet.

I like spams with the Subjects:

"Reply"
"Hello Darling"
"about that project"
"Confirmation Depatment"

A lot of this are followed by a totally random list of nonsensical phrases and an image attachment. My g-mail spam catcher does a surprisingly good job of catching spam, I rarely see any.

I'm hating this! I use Roundcube for most of my email now, but my hotmail address is constantly spammed by confirmation emails and it's driving me mad! I'm getting 10 a day! Grrrrr

Just 10 ???

The 398 spam messages have been received in the last 48 hours.
Roughly 200 spams a day, that's far enough for me to praise my spam milter...

I'm getting a ton of these "you've received a card from" emails. Probably 10-15 per day. Obvious spam...but a bummer because my sister likes to send these e-cards and now I won't open any...

Of course...they could all be legit. Since I've been on WMT I notice I've gained international notariety

I've never get emails off "worshippers", they just tend to ring me selling double glazing or "faster" broadband.

I get a lot of spam on my free account all the time probably over 200 a day... I clear my spam folder and as soon as i do i have one waiting for me...

I had one at my "day job" yesterday that finally got me... the subject line was "read immediately"

More and more spam rips through my junk mail indicator. I've had a dozen "You've won the lottery" e-mails in the last 2 days. But I am getting far less junk snail mail these days. Apparently all of the cons have gone digital.

This is sad, but sometimes I wonder who will delete all the spam from my inbox once I'm dead?
