I've been working way too much ... I bought a new tripod a week ago after my old one failed me and damaged a lens in the process ... I only got a chance to put it to good use tonight:

Downtown from Qwest Field

The Stadium is at the southern edge of downtown. I shot something just like this almost four years ago, when I first moved to Seattle ... this time I came back and did it right. Or at least I'd hope so!

Very cool, but what's going on inside the stadium?

Rumour has it some Japanese guy is running all around it raising hell.

Nice shot as always, Forrest. Those lights in the street really look cool at that angle, as do the buildings and stuff.

I must say, you're a fantastic photographer. Some of the pictures on your site really amazed me, and the star trails thing you do produce some really stunning graphics. Keep up the good work. You're really good at what you do!

Thanks, everyone, for the kind words. I'm glad people like the photo ... I've been itching to put my new tripod to good use, and looking for a good location, I was starting to worry I'd miss the twilight.

Probably nothing ... there was no traffic jam.

No, you're just a little drunk. At least that's part of the mood I'm trying to create, of being slightly disoriented in a strange place. The helicopter landing pad like pattern is pretty unusual, so I wanted to accentuate this.

I'm using a 15 mm rectilinear lens for a lot of what I shoot, and in this case, I've got it pointed downward slightly. That's a recipe for geometric distortion, but making the buildings lean gives that off-kilter mood I was trying to achieve.

But you're right - 'tis pincushion you see.
