Someone with positive Talkupation must have given you negative Talkupation.
Anyone with negative or neutral TP cannot give TP either way, and their TP will show up as "grey".

That depends, perhaps you said something that offended that person, are they justified in that? Did they give you negative TP simply because they don't like you?
Overall, TP should be given or taken away based on the merits of a specific post and not for revenge.

Well, I suppose sometimes you just gotta take em'. I got one negative from a person who just wanted to tell me how much they disrespect me because of my age and the fact that I had to crack down on their behavior since I'm a mod. Overall, your doing pretty good, with 142 TP and only 99 posts. Just shrug it off, it's certainly not worth getting petty about.

I wouldn't worry about it. I think we all get red at some point. Someone once gave it to me and I never could figure out why. I didn't respond in revenge by giving them red back. I did tend to be less interested in helping that person though.

Me too. The member ended up getting banned because he not only gave me negative talkupatation for deleting a post that linked to a porn site, he also threatened me via pm (it's happened to other mods too). There are always going to be people that misuse a good system.

I've received negitive TP with a message of "Thank You!" - I guess they clicked on the wrong option

I once got negative TP by accident. The person who gave it to me PMed me immediately after saying he though he gave me the red by mistake. I told him it wasn't a big deal and it wasn't. It's just a fun system in the end to show thanks and appreciation.

I've had that happen as well...as you can see by both Steven's and my TP, it ultimately doesn't have that much of an effect if you're a good boy and/or girl.
By the way, Steven, I just passed you today.

I noticed. I also noticed you've picked up quite a lot of TP in very large chunks in just a few days. Makes me wonder if there's been some deals going on behind the scenes.
Of course you do realize I have the ability to log into the secret back room of the forum and reduce your TP to 0 in a single stroke.

I guess I should go lock the back room door. LoL! Maybe give myself some talkupation first since I'm way behind!

Just don't take away my key. I need to log in and cut Adam's TP in half.

My Talkupation was acquired through perfectly legitimate transactions whereby I paid in PageRank acquired through Walk on my Path. I have the receipts and everything, for tax reasons.

It's not a scam! It's a transaction! That makes it legitimate! Like when I pay for weed with a credit card.
