I got this in an email. Haven't used Stumble in months, but I immediately went and gave them a thumbs down vote. Man, spam is moving to a new level!
A big shout out to members of the rethos community that have stumbled upon the manifesto via Stumbleupon.com! For those of you who aren't familiar with Stumble, it's an internet browser add-on that basically portals you to random websites, depending on your interests and issues of passion. Find out more check out: www.stumbleupon.com

The manifesto has been going viral on StumbleUpon. For those of you who already use StumbleUpon, we need your help as we prepare for go live:
Please go to www.rethos.com and give it a “thumbs up.” The more thumbs-up we get, to more people will stumble into rethos.com and witness the manifesto, just like each of us did the first time.

Also here is our stumble profile link: www.stumbleupon.com/url/rethos.com/
...Soon we will have our beloved manifesto playing in Time Square NYC
Rock on rethos!
Seriously, who's bright idea was it to spam a bunch of people who've never heard of and don't care about your personal project telling them to please install some browser plug-in to manipulate someone else's web site to serve their interests? How many people actually do this?

I have the stumble upon addon installed for purely bordom purposes, it helps while away a few hours if you have nothing to do

I never uninstalled mine from months ago, and honestly I liked it, thought it was pretty cool. But then I started seeing all kinds of Stumble Exchange threads, and a month later the quality started slipping. So I haven't used it since - except today, to vote against the people who spammed me.

It's interesting how if you asked 5 or 10 years ago what spam meant the only possible answer was junk email. Nowadays that's still going on, but it's mutated like a virus.
