I have been programming for years so whenever I look back over old code I always find the odd comment.

Quote:
//Don't touch this line, I don't know what it does but it works

Quote:
//Stop reading and GET BACK TO WORK!!!! Or at least finish this code off
- I talk to myself it seems.

Quote:
//I hate writing admin areas, they are easy butt take too much time. I need a subordinate to write this kind of stuff so I can go and do something productive

Quote:
#CODE // this dont seem to do anything..

I don't have the code under hand no more, but I remember having one day a colleague, from my first job company that came to my office laughing, because on a review we had on our code, he found
Quote:
//Man, platypus are soooo cool.
followed some lines after by
Quote:
//But look how lousy they code !
I stayed as the "platypus guy" after that.

I was reviewing some code done by one of our Sr. programmers and caught this line:

//this is for the idiots who still use IE

My favourite was about 3 years ago...it was on a writer's site, and he had some material he didn't want to be publicized (yet never bothered to password-protect for some reason).
Code:
<!-- F**K OFF, GOOGLE!  //-->
<meta name="robots" content="noindex, nofollow, f**k off">
I haven't seen a bot told to "f**k off" before or since.

Hysterical! And very, very tempting. Except that I know it's just a matter of time before one of those idiots notices and gets offended.
