Hi All

I just bought a few second hand Drupal sites. At the moment I only have the Drupal admin log in passwords. NOT THE HOSTING COMPANY!

Is it possible for me using the Drupal admin section to save the entire site to my PC for back up reasons or do I need to do this through the hosting companies passowrd area?

Thanks

Regards

James

What you really need to do James is get the FTP access information and download the files using some software like Filezilla or CuteFTP. You might also want to investigate if the MySQL database is local or on a separate server. Might be best to contact the host and let them know you want to do a backup of the entire site - they can guide you through the process or do a backup for you.

Hi Seolman

Thanks for the reply.

I have asked the host company for the details to do a back up but they are being a bit funny about handing them over. I have Cpanel access. I have been informed it should be possible to access the site files from there but cant seem to get them back to me.

I will keep trying with the host company.

Regards

James

You may always ask for the ftp server address and make your own ftp account on cpanel. If you need me to I can write a quick guide for that
