For 3 years adsense made me $102 (about 9 cents per day), that from a site with 100k+ pageviews per month.

Since it was "way too much money" i had to take the ads off

Sounds like either your pageview count was inflated or you built a site for the wrong crowd.

...because i was expecting someone to move it to adsense since i mistake the forum.
Anyways...Whats worth your site having many views if people don't click in the ads? I personally don't click any ads why shall i expect others to do it?
My site is completely normal thats why adsense didn't work on it...its not a made for adsense one.

Also the page count is 100% genuine, around 100k-200k pageviews per month, not inflated like yours

Well well...adsense is one of those things that or works for you or doesnt, if doesnt you just forget about it and live on...just like everything in life.

You must be one of the very few people who haven't had much luck with Adsense. What was your niche?

My sites have a really low amount of traffic, but even for those who where doing a decent amount (for a regional market like Switzerland which is smaller than New-York, and where there are 4 official languages !!!) I made 14 months to reach the 100$ limit.
And since the modifications on the clicking surface, I went from ~ .75$ a day to .03$ a day.

In the end, I don't bother integrate it anywhere neither...
Maybe I should put some time on promoting what I do, but I just like sooo much more doing programming than promoting that I cannot get myself up for that...

When I count them, I believe there are 4 projects I'm developing from time to time, 2 hours there, 3 there, and I'm not even sure anyone will see the light. But hey, it's so much fun to learn that way !

I make about 70 cents a day - since the sites are freely hosted and thus traffic is low !1

After setting up a website, you still need to put in effort in driving traffic. You should also texting different ad unit combination and color, in order to find a configuration that will yield the best CTR.

If you can find the right niches, Adsense will never be a waste of space - it just takes time to 'make it happen' unfortunately (I'm only on a dollar a day at present lol).

the adsense program worked for me , the succes depends on your traffic, the content , the ads position and integration in design and also in your people type , if you get on your site 100k people who use Adsense or they know what`s all about with those Google Ads - you will not make much ... Try to get some traffic that is not so smart , so you can increase your click rate .
Also the power of the ads - if you have your web site about movies - 4 sure you will get 1 cent / click , if you have Rental website and it targets manhattan properties - you will get min 0.25 cents / click . If you have an website about cancer this will bring you more money from less clicks...

Definitely. At least, you put some effort to blend the ad with the background, the CTR will be significantly increase.

Traffic is crucial for adsense because you need the force of the numbers to have clicks.
That the force be with you.

Yup traffic is crucial, but having the ads in the right place is also key, takes people a lot of trial and error before people find the best places for ads, to maximise their adsense income !
