I don't think 11% is that high or that you'll get banned by google for having 11% CTR. I have websites that get way over 11% one of them as high as a little over 40%, and I don't click on my own ads, and haven't been banned.

I thought the author posted that on SP and decided not to keep it up since it seemed pretty questionable? Either he changed his mind or someone ripped his idea haha.
I've never posted this on sitepoint, and most certainly didn't 'rip' the idea from anywhere. While it would be absurd to think other people haven't thought about it also, I haven't seen it anywhere.
The new version of the script has been changed anyways.. the ad background is now black instead to make it stand out. I believe Greg said that the CTR has actually increased with this method instead of making them blend in 100%.
