I could use some advice...

I make good money through affiliate programs...however, I can't seem to make very good adsense revenue. I get well over 1,000 clicks per day, but I only make 2 or 3 cents per click.

Any suggestions??

You get around 1,0000 clicks per day and only get 2-3 cents per click? Wow.. it must be because of the keywords. You might want to try optimizing the keywords on your page so that you get different type of ads. Some keywords pay higher than others. I heard Yahoo Publisher pays good, you might want to try that. It's still in beta right now, but you can apply at this link: http://publisher.yahoo.com.

You're right, this should be moved to the Monetization forums.

Thanks for moving this to a better spot :stupid:

Thanks for the advice Shan... It's a MySpace site, so I do realize that it's not the most expensive keywords out there. It is just so inconsistant it drives me crazy! Like today... I have a $7.74 eCPM, but yesterday I only had a $2.37 eCPM even though my CTR was a little bit higher! It doesn't make sense.

There are some keywords and categories that have great CPM, but others just suck. If you're in the MySpace world, well, you aren't going to see high-ticket AdWords advertisers bidding up that ad space click, so you aren't going to be able to make a ton of money on your site, even if you dramatically increase your traffic level.

Can you push out into a second topic too, and then let the magic of AdSense put some targeted -- valuable -- ads on those pages, at least?

That's a good idea. I just need to find something relevant enough to the users of the site so that it will get traffic. Thanks Dave unk:
